The City of Santa Clara is in the process of acquiring the MetroFi infrastructure to support the implementation of our electric utility's new wireless, remote metering reading project. Santa Clara will work to maintain the existing outdoor Wi-Fi connectivity that now covers many areas of the city and begin a cost-benefit study of long-term options for continuing this service.
